Kinokimeriya Festival 2010

There are a lot of talks about the Ukrainian cinema, but there is nothing to show because of expansion of foreign film distribution. The situation with Ukrainian cinematograph is that we don't have sensible script writers, camera operators, producers and directors who could make a good movie with its success distribution future. Perhaps we just haven't heard about them yet.

The development of modern technologies allows to participate in cinema process almost everybody who wishs and try themself in that kind of performance. During last years of Ukrainian youth activity in area of unprofessional cinema there have been accumulated a grate movie archives. Among of the general works there are documentary movies, music videos, animations as well of pretty high artistic and technical level. But due to lack of demonstrational opportunities most of young movie makers feel unclaimed and as the result of that they refuse from active social life.

5th International Festival of unprofessional cinematographic art "Kinokimeriya" took place. at October 15th in Ubileyniy Concert Hall. There was organized photo exhibition of young photographers winners of what was awarded by medals and prizes. Jane Galas, Vice President of UNICA, President of Mediterranean association of Cinema and Video, addressed herself to all present people with her speech and granted prizes to the winners form Ukraine for 2010 year.
The Head of Charitable Foundation Ustin Maltsev congratulated all participants and also underlined importance of that event: " I would like to hope that KINOKIMERIYA will be grate start to active realization of all plans for the most of participants. And also that this Festival allow you to develop your skills as spiritual enriched personalities which could bring use and benefit to our State.

Such kind of events appeal for resolving all abovementioned antagonisms. First of all, creative and alternative youth will have "place" for demonstrations theirs pictures, secondly, that festival allow to activate creative and organizational processes among all young people who are going to tie oneself up together with cinematographic. And finally, by raising unprofessional movement, such kind of festival allow to find new talented people such as Matveev and Bondarchuck, for reviving Ukrainian Cinematographic art.
