The First Project of Kherson Region on the Problem of Children’s Rights is Completed

September 16, 2010 a round-table on the results of the project Activization of Territory Communities in Protection of Children's Rights was held by Kherson charitable foundation Zahyst. The project has started within the Civil Society Development Project, which is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine with financial assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
A number of events was implemented with the help of numerous participants of the project, among them - the leaders of Children's Service, the Department of Education, Family, Youth and Sport of the Regional State Administration, the leadership of the Regional Center of Social Services for Families, charitable organizations, also the leaders of Kherson regional criminal militia for children of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The aim of them is activization of territory communities concerning the issues of children's rights, what can be achieved by means of informing the public on the issues of children's rights and also by observing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Great work has been done on outreach activities, mass media has been drawn to the event, a website has been created. Informational materials the aim of which is to help children, families, social workers and educational specialists to solve and find out the problem of children's rights has been worked out. This problem is very important in our country.
The head of the Ustin Maltsev Charitable Foundation confirmed the importance of the projects of this kind.

And children is a fundamental unit of our society and this cooperation should bring important changes into the life of Kherson region.."
