Young leaders of Kherson region got the support of the EU

    «Be a leader!» project for young leaders in Ukraine run by Savik Shuster studio got the support of the EU program «Support for sustainable regional development». The winners of the project will take part in leadership training program organized by the EU.
   "Be a leader!" aims to find talented young people who can implement useful ideas in their regions, communities and cities. All these ideas need specific knowledge and skills to be used in their own local projects"- said Yuriy Tretyak, the curator of the program.
   Kherson's finalists of "Be a leader!" project, Ustin Maltsev and Alexander Zaderej will represent a strategic framework to solve solid waste problems for the region. The EU representatives noted the solution to this issue as important for all Ukrainian society.
   The head of the economic programs of the EU office in Ukraine Mr. H.L.Lore said that this project was supported due to its significant social impact for the regions.
   "I think the idea of this competition is absolutely in line with country's development projects. To develop this country you need good ideas generated by young people. Today, the introduction of a new regional policy in Ukraine has become one of the priorities set up for dialogue between Ukraine and the European Union "- he added.
